Strong mainland charter marina for Iles d'Hyères weeks and western Riviera access. Useful when you want island hops without starting in the busiest Cote d'Azur basins.
Marseille
Provence logistics hub with city and airport transfers. Good for calanques access and crews who want mainland services before heading east or west.
Ajaccio (Corsica)
West-coast Corsica start for island circuits. Treat this as a Corsica week, not a day-one hop from the mainland.

Do I need to book marina berths in advance?
In July and August, yes for popular harbours and Saturday changeovers. Shoulder season is more flexible mid-week.
Is the Mistral a problem from these bases?
It can blow hard around Provence. Plan reefing, early arrivals and conservative exposed legs when the forecast is lively.
Can I start in Hyères and finish in Corsica?
One-way weeks are possible but rarer and usually dearer. Confirm the operator allows the drop-off before you plan the route.
