Göcek
Gulf staging harbour for short cove hops and quieter first nights. Popular when your operator bases here rather than Fethiye town.
Marmaris (secondary)

Choose Fethiye for the densest logistics and transfers. Choose Göcek for gulf cove-hopping from day one. Choose Marmaris when your boat and itinerary sit on that secondary hub.
Provisioning, fuel and check-in
Fuel, water and supermarket runs are straightforward at Fethiye and Marmaris. Göcek coves fill early in July and August. Meltemi days matter in high summer. Nearest airports: Dalaman (DLM) for Fethiye/Göcek; Dalaman or Bodrum transfers for some Marmaris logistics.

Do I need to book marina berths in advance?
In July and August, yes for popular harbours and Saturday changeovers. Shoulder season is more flexible.
Is gulet charter different from bareboat?
Yes. Gulets are typically crewed traditional boats with package-style weeks. Bareboat means you skipper a modern sailing yacht yourself (or add a skipper).
Can I sail to Greek islands from Turkey?
Sometimes, with clearance and operator approval. Confirm formalities before you plan the route.
How strong is the Meltemi here?
It can blow hard in high summer. Plan reefing, early arrivals and conservative exposed legs.
