Primary charter bases and useful overnight harbours, labelled on the map.

Most Croatia yacht charter weeks start from the harbours below. Saturday turnarounds are the busy logistics day in peak season. For boats and weekly rates see Croatia yacht charter, plus focused pages for Split and Dubrovnik. For winds and routes, use the sailing guide. Harbour detail also lives on Split charter bases and Dubrovnik charter bases.

Croatia charter base directory

Split

Primary Central Dalmatia logistics hub next to the airport and ferry port. Largest bareboat and catamaran fleets for Brač, Hvar and nearby islands. See Split charter bases.

Trogir

Historic harbour start west of Split with strong charter presence and a quieter first-night feel than the city centre.

Dubrovnik / Komolac

South Dalmatia hub for Elaphiti hops, Mljet and Korcula approaches. Detail on Dubrovnik charter bases.

Which base for which week

Choose Split or Trogir for Central Dalmatia island circuits. Choose Dubrovnik/Komolac for South Dalmatia. Do not plan Split-to-Dubrovnik return passages as a casual one-week loop.

Provisioning, fuel and check-in

Fuel, water and supermarket runs are easiest in Split, Trogir and ACI Dubrovnik / Komolac. Popular island quays fill early in July and August. Nearest airports: Split (SPU) and Dubrovnik (DBV).

This page is research intent: where fleets start and which harbour fits the week. When you are ready to compare boats and weekly rates, use the Croatia yacht charter page, Split, Dubrovnik, or browse yachts.

FAQs

Which Croatia marina should I depart from?

Split and Trogir suit Central Dalmatia. Dubrovnik/Komolac suits South Dalmatia. Pick based on flights, operator base and how far you want to sail in seven days.

Do I need to book marina berths in advance?

Yes in July and August for popular island harbours and Saturday changeovers. Shoulder season is more flexible.

Is Split to Dubrovnik realistic in one week?

One-way weeks are sometimes offered but rarer. A return Split-to-Dubrovnik loop in seven days usually means too much motoring.

Where can I read harbour detail?

Use this country hub plus the dedicated Split and Dubrovnik marina pages.

Do I need tourist tax and VHF papers?

Yes for typical bareboat Croatia weeks. We confirm the operator checklist before you book.
