Komolac is the default. It shelters the fleets and keeps big boats off the crowded old-town waterfront.

Airport transfers to Komolac are longer than the brochure implies in peak traffic. Provision near the marina. Bura and jugo both matter; do not cling to an exposed town wall out of stubbornness. Nearest airport for most crews: Dubrovnik (DBV).

Why is the charter marina not in Dubrovnik Old Town?
There is not enough sheltered space for the fleets. ACI Dubrovnik at Komolac, up the river, is the purpose-built charter base.
Can I berth under the city walls?
Visitor access is limited and busy. Plan a daytime stop rather than counting on an overnight berth.
Is Dubrovnik good for beginners?
The Elaphiti Islands circuit is manageable with care. Longer open legs toward Korcula need a settled forecast or a skipper.
Should I choose Komolac or Cavtat?
