Yacht Charter Bodrum Highlights
Bodrum harbour
The castle, the town and a Saturday that is busier than the brochure. Logistics first, then the gulf.
Kara Ada
The island lunch stop most weeks actually use. Settled weather and a plan B if the wind builds.
Orak and the gulf bays
Swimming and overnight notches inside the gulf when you want short hops.
Knidos when settled
A longer westbound objective. Not the default first week.
Gulet nights
Traditional boats for groups who want crew, shade and a different rhythm to bareboat.
Gocek as the other Turkey
Pine gulfs and a more enclosed week. We will send you there if it fits better than Bodrum.
A yacht charter in Bodrum is a Turkish Aegean week: the castle harbour, the gulf, Kara Ada and Orak. Marinas around the peninsula hold the fleets. Gulets are part of the local product, not a footnote.
This page is the booking layer. For winds, bays and mooring notes, use our Bodrum sailing guide. For Gocek, Fethiye and the wider coast, start on Yacht Charter Turkey.
Bareboat works if you hold a recognised licence and will respect Meltemi days. If the group wants shade, dinners and swimming, a skipper or a gulet week is often the honest product. We will not sell a first bareboat into an open Aegean forecast you have not earned.
Bodrum Yacht Charter Types
In Bodrum you can hire a monohull sailing yacht, a catamaran, or a motor yacht. Bareboat and skippered weeks are the usual products; crewed and by-the-cabin options appear on the busier coasts. Pick the boat type that matches the group, then we shortlist fleets that actually sit in that base.
Bareboat
- You skipper, we shortlist the right size and base
- ICC or Day Skipper checked before you pay a deposit
- Lower weekly cost than skippered or crewed
- Your route, your timetable
Skippered
- Local skipper for Meltemi days and marina traffic
- No licence required
- Stern-to and harbour work handled
- Learn the week without owning the risk
Catamaran
- Shade, space and a level platform
- Shallower draft for skinny calas and banks
- The usual family and group choice
- Two hulls, more cabin privacy
Crewed Luxury
- Captain, and usually a host or chef
- You choose the noise level and the nights in
- Meals, toys and formalities handled
- The week is a stay, not a campaign

Yacht Charter Bodrum FAQs
Bareboat bases want an ICC, RYA Day Skipper Practical or an equivalent, plus a CV. If your ticket is light, take a skipper or look at a gulet. We check this before you pay a deposit.
Bodrum if you want the town and the Aegean gateway. Gocek if you want pine gulfs and a more enclosed week. We will say which matches the group.
Plan on about EUR 2,400 in spring and autumn, EUR 3,600 in June and September, and EUR 5,200 in July and August for a mid-size monohull, before extras. Cats and gulets cost more. We quote more than one option on the same Saturday.
Yes, in high summer. It builds through the day and has more teeth on open approaches than inside the gulf. We would rather keep you in protected bays than sell a westbound campaign into a strong forecast.
Yes. They are a core local product. Tell us cabin count and how hands-on you want to be, and we will compare gulet and yacht weeks side by side.
