Kos is the other main Dodecanese base. A week from there covers the nearby islands without forcing a Rhodes-to-Kos one-way on a first visit.
View Day-by-DayA yacht charter in Rhodes is a Dodecanese week, not a city-break with a mast. Rhodes Town and Mandraki sit at one end of a chain that runs toward Simi, Tilos, Nisyros and Kos. The Meltemi is the fact you plan around. In July and August it can blow for days. In June and September the same harbours feel like a different sea.

Kos is the other main base and often the better start if you want the volcanic islands and a shorter first hop. Rhodes is right if the old town and Simi are the point of the week. We will not sell a first bareboat out of Rhodes into a forecast Meltemi just because the flight was cheap.

Weekly rates in EUR, yacht only. A 38 to 42 ft monohull sits near the bottom of each band; 46 to 50 ft cats sit at the top. Fuel, Greek transit log, end cleaning where not included and berthing are extra. Skippered weeks add a daily skipper fee and a cabin.

Yacht Charter Rhodes and the Dodecanese FAQs
Bareboat bases want an ICC, RYA Day Skipper Practical or an equivalent, plus a CV that shows windy-week time if you are booking July or August. The Dodecanese is stricter than the Ionian in high season. We check this first.
Rhodes if the old town and Simi are the week. Kos if you want the smaller volcanic islands and a shorter first hop. A one-way between them exists and costs extra. First weeks should return to the same base.
Plan on about EUR 2,300 in spring and autumn, EUR 3,400 in June and September, and EUR 4,700 in July and August for a mid-size monohull, before extras. We quote more than one fleet on the same Saturday.
Most often July and August, and it can last days. We would rather move the week, add a skipper, or send you to the Ionian than force a first bareboat onto a lee quay. June and September are the kinder months.
Possible on paper, messy in practice: formalities, a different skipper expectation, and a week that disappears into stamps. Most charter weeks stay in the Greek Dodecanese. Ask us before you plan a border.
