The best sailing season varies by region. June-October is the southwest monsoon (wet season) with more rain, rougher seas, and potential typhoons, but significantly lower prices and fewer tourists. The most popular route is the Bacuit Archipelago around El Nido: explore Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Secret Lagoon, Snake Island, and numerous pristine beaches—all within easy sailing distance. A longer itinerary explores north from El Nido through Linapacan Islands (clearest waters) to Coron (wreck diving). The Visayas offers different character: island-hop between Cebu, Bohol (Chocolate Hills), Panglao, Apo Island (marine sanctuary), and Boracay. One week is enough for El Nido area, whilst two weeks allows exploring Coron or the Visayas. Your charter company can recommend routes based on your experience, interests (diving, beaches, culture), and prevailing weather.
